Job safety and health. It’s the law.

It’s also the headline message on the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) workplace poster, which you are required to display in a conspicuous location within your facility. The poster is available free of charge from OSHA.

The safety poster informs workers of their rights under the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act. Thirteen states, including Illinois, also have OSHA-approved plans and posters. Federal agencies must use the Federal Agency Poster.

Foreign Language Requirements

OSHA regulations do not specify or mandate that you display posters in foreign languages, but if you have Spanish-speaking workers, you’re encouraged to display both an English and Spanish version. Posters also may be ordered in Chinese, Korean, Nepali, Polish and Portuguese. Related posting requirements are available in detail on the OHSA web site.
